Socrates once said, “It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.”
The ancient Greeks—flawed as they were—understood something we often forget: the mind and the body must be trained together. "A society that separates thinkers from warriors produces cowards and fools", according to Thucydides.
Today, few of us farm, build, or carry rifles. Comfort has replaced necessity. Add to that a world engineered for distraction—constant dopamine, dulled focus—and it’s no surprise that strength fades.
Left alone, everything drifts toward disorder. Discipline reverses that drift.
Training your body is not vanity. It is resistance against decay—physical and mental. It sharpens focus, builds resilience, and reinforces self-control.
Strength does not happen by accident.
